Terms of Service

By accessing or using VisaWriting ("Service"), operated by Shanow ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service.

VisaWriting is an AI-assisted writing tool that generates draft visa cover letters, supporting document checklists, and interview preparation materials based on information you provide. The Service uses large language model technology to produce these materials.

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: VisaWriting is NOT a law firm and does NOT provide legal advice. Nothing generated by this Service constitutes legal advice, immigration advice, or a guarantee of any visa outcome. You should consult a licensed immigration attorney for legal guidance specific to your situation.

We do not guarantee that any visa application will be approved. Visa decisions are made solely by the relevant government authorities and are outside our control.

You may register using email/password or Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at contact@shanow.com of any unauthorized use of your account.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to update such information as necessary.

The Service operates on a prepaid credit system. Credits are purchased via one-time payment and are non-transferable. Each credit entitles you to one complete letter generation. Credits do not expire, but are subject to account termination policies.

All payments are processed by DodoPayments. By purchasing credits, you agree to DodoPayments' terms of service. We do not store your payment card details.

Pricing is displayed at the time of purchase. We reserve the right to change prices with 14 days' notice to registered users.

You retain ownership of all personal information and content you submit to generate letters. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your submitted data solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

You represent and warrant that all information you provide is accurate and truthful. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of your submissions. We are not liable for any consequences arising from inaccurate or misleading information you provide.

We may use anonymized, aggregated usage data to improve our AI models and Service quality. We will never sell your personal data.

• Using the Service to generate fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive visa application materials
• Submitting false information that could constitute fraud in a visa application
• Reverse engineering, scraping, or automated bulk usage of the Service
• Reselling or redistributing generated content as your own service
• Using the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
• Attempting to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts

The VisaWriting platform, including its design, code, branding, and underlying technology, is owned by Shanow and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Generated letter content based on your personal information is provided to you for your personal use in connection with your visa application. You may not use generated content to build a competing service.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that: (a) the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free; (b) generated content will be accepted by any visa authority; (c) the quality of generated content will meet your expectations; or (d) any errors will be corrected.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SHANOW SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

• Your use of or inability to use the Service
• Any visa application outcome, including denials or delays
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
• Any other matter relating to the Service

In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Shanow and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

The Service integrates with third-party providers including Google (authentication), DodoPayments (payment processing), OpenRouter (AI infrastructure), Neon (database), and Vercel (hosting). Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties.

We may suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms, is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Unused credits are non-refundable upon termination for cause. Sections 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 13 of these Terms shall survive termination.

These Terms shall be governed by applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to binding arbitration or the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts. You waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
